CLASSES, GROUPS & EVENTS

Trauma Conscious Yoga

FINALLY, a studio that gets it!

This interactive class utilizes a variety of yoga and somatic therapy tools including asanas (yoga poses), pranayamas (breathing exercises), & mindful meditations to help increase your ability to sense what is happening in the body, identify emotions, and stimulate relaxation. Your yoga instructor is also a psychotherapist & will help guide the class into a greater level of embodiment and present moment awareness, empowering each of you to choose what to do with those sensations through movement.  No physical assists provided without permission. No mirrors to judge yourself in. Nobody behind you, nor directly in front of you.  These are small classes of 8 or less, with a room designed to support your comfort.

Authentic Connections Class

Struggling to communicate and relate from your authentic self?

Authentic Connections Class is a new & exciting group practice that focuses on helping participants learn how to express their authentic self in relationships. In this class you will be guided through dialogue and relationship building games to understand yourself and others better so you may experience greater intimacy and authenticity in your communication & relationships with others. Growth happens through a cultivated ability to explore life and communicate with integrity and authenticity.

Therapeutic Dancing Freedom

Embodiment and expression of the emotional self made easy!

In class we use movement & dance for emotional, physical & spiritual wellness. This therapeutic form of dance is great for physical health, can reduce stress, uplift the mood & improve body image. We use it to express emotions & our sense of self. It is a versatile holistic practice founded on the idea that body & mind are interconnected; change in one impacts the other. This creative expression can bolster communication, self expression, healthy boundaries, and inspire dynamic relationships.

Meditation Class

Feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts?

Meditation is the ultimate mental wellness tool. Studies show that daily meditation can improve mental, emotional, and physical function. Though, many people still feel intimidated by meditation or fell that meditation isn’t for them. Meditation is for everyone, and anyone can learn how to do it. This guided meditation class will explore a wide range of practices that have been passed down over the centuries with the aim of helping you find out how beneficial meditation can be for you!

Medicine Drum Meditation

Want to go deeper with your meditation and spiritual practices?

Your facilitator uses the medicine drum to initiate deep states of relaxation that are healing for your nervous system.  A steady beat is known to reduce stress and interrupt intrusive thoughts. Sometimes class will simply be about following the drum to lull yourself into inner stillness for stress reduction and grounding. Other times, the drum will be used in conjunction with guided imagery that can support deeper self discovery and spiritual development.

Trauma-Conscious Breathwork

We use breath to regulate our body, emotions and thoughts

Your facilitator is a mental health provider that has years of experience utilizing breathwork to regulate their mental, emotional, physiological state. You will have an opportunity to practice evidence-based and ancient breathwork practices to learn to do the same for you. Breath is often times the greatest gateway into exploring and transforming the inner self, relax, and regain control over your mind and body. See you on the mat!

Dharma Recovery

How to use Buddhist practices to heal and recover from the suffering of addiction.

Recovery Dharma offers an approach to recovery based on Buddhist principles. AUM Integral Wellness sponsors this group by providing the space for these meetings in our facility. Their program is peer-led and non-theistic. We welcome all those who wish to pursue recovery from substance and process addictions as part of our community.

Recovery Dharma is founded on, and inspired by, Buddhism that originated in India and later on flourished in other regions of Asia (e.g., South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia).

Concepts covered deepen personal inquiry and connection with others.

Firewalk Ceremonies

Did you learn that fire burns?

Of course, you did – and you still know it today!

What if I told you that’s only partially true? Fire does not always burn.

Something extraordinary happens when you realize that fire doesn’t have to burn. When you realize that what makes fire burn is your belief that it burns, EVERYTHING becomes possible.

Fear is no longer an obstacle.

Self-empowerment, confidence and the ability to accomplish anything awaits.

You might be tempted to call me a liar. But then again, maybe you won’t, because I’m a Firewalk Instructor.

Do I just tolerate the burns? HELL NO!

I’ve walked on fire over 100 times and only gotten burned twice – somewhere around walk number 42 and walk number 85.

That’s right. I walked on flaming hot coals more than 40 times before I ever got a fire kiss!

Jeepers creepers, right?!

You can do it, and I can help.

Contact us for more information about how to reserve your spot at the next firewalk. Space is limited.

Arrow Break Ceremonies

There’s something about putting a pointed stick in the softest part of your neck that immediately has your body, brain, and heart say, “absolutely not.”

Naturally, survival instinct speaks up.

But, what if I told you, there’s no threat?

You can learn how to raise your energy enough to break an arrow, pointed side facing in, with the softest part of your neck?

Would you do it then? Maybe not! That’s a lot of trust!

Breaking an arrow on your neck can shatter debilitating fear, teach your body to sense a threat that isn’t real, and instantly reprogram your nervous system.

This technique exceeds the bounds of what seems possible and demonstrates that human potential goes way beyond the limits of the body, mind, and heart.

We don’t entirely know where arrow breaking began, or why, but there are rumors it started in Fiji.

I suspect Fijian warriors began this practice as an initiation into their power and the spirit of a fighter.

Arrow breaking helps us learn how to put up the good fight in life. It teaches us to persevere, whether it be in business, personal relationships, or simple day-to-day living.

Learn to have faith, trust in yourself, and embody the spirit of a warrior.

Call us to set up an arrow break for your community, staff, or small group.

*I also hold private arrow breaking ceremonies.
